Returning Hearts Celebration unites children and their incarcerated parent on the prison grounds for an unforgettable day of games, food, crafts, relationship building and teaching to facilitate the healing process and break the cycle of crime and incarceration in families.

According to the U.S. Dept. of Justice, approximately 2.2 million children ages 17 and younger have a parent in prison. Approximately 200,000 Georgia children have a parent in prison. The majority of children with an incarcerated parent (58%) are under the age of 10 and the effects on their young lives are profound.
